Education – Program Information

The Sac and Fox Nation’s Education Department goal is to administer programs to assist Native American students by providing them with the opportunity to achieve their educational goals from Pre-K through college.

The Sac and Fox Nation Business Committee has reactivated the Indian Education Committee which will work toward ensuring that Native American students are provided the guidance and opportunity from the local schools to achieve success on their educational journey. It is important that the student’s parents are involved in this journey and they can achieve this by being involved in the JOM Parent Committee. To be involved in this program you must live within the jurisdiction of the Sac and Fox Nation and have a child(ren) enrolled in the public school system.

If you would like more information, call Justin Morris, Education Specialist at (918) 968-3526, Ext. 2043 or you may e-mail him at: jmorris@sacandfoxnation-nsn.gov Education Department: Programs are funded either through the Sac and Fox Nation’s Revenue Allocation Plan (RAP), which is applicable to tribal members only OR the Federal – Department of Interior (DOI), which is available for any Native Americans students who live within the Nation’s jurisdiction within the funding limits that are available.
