COVID RELIEF DEPARTMENT
The Business Committee has established a temporary COVID-19 Relief Department to assist tribal members during the COVID-19 public health emergency. The COVID-19 Relief Department will be operational beginning on Monday, August 10.
The Business Committee has also approved two new COVID-19 Assistance Programs: a Human Services Relief Program and a Business Relief Program. Additional details, such as the complete announcement, program guidelines and applications are now available on the website.

Human Services Guidelines and Application
NATIVE AMERICAN AGRICULTURAL FUND (NAAF)
The Sac and Fox Nation Business Committee is pleased to announce the Sac and Fox Nation was awarded a grant from the Native American Agricultural Fund (NAAF) to provide assistance to Native farmers and ranchers in the Sac and Fox Nation’s jurisdiction who are facing hardships because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Eligible Native farmers and ranchers can apply for a one-time award of $1,000.00. Applications are being accepted now and will be reviewed on a first come, first serve basis. COVID RELIEF APPLICATION FOR COVID – 19 ECONOMIC SUPPORT
TRIBAL MEMBERS CAN NOW SUBMIT APPLICATION FOR COVID-19 ECONOMIC SUPPORT. The application is now available on the website. To receive the economic support payment, tribal members must submit the application.
In May 2020, upon receipt of CARES Act funding from the U.S. Treasury, the Sac and Fox Nation Business Committee approved the COVID-19 Economic Support Program. Under the program, all enrolled members of the Sac and Fox Nation age 18 or older are eligible to receive two payments of $1,000.00. Members under the age of 18 are eligible to receive two payments of $250.00. The first distribution occurred in early June. The second distribution was scheduled for September, but the Business Committee has announced that distributions will begin immediately.
To receive the economic support payment, you must complete and submit the application. Checks will be distributed once the application is received, beginning immediately. No checks will be sent without a completed application on file. All applications must be submitted by November 1, 2020.
On June 24, 2020, the U.S. Treasury updated its guidance documents on use of CARES funds. The guidance was updated to state that economic support payments must be based on an assessment of individual need. The official guidance is periodically updated and we are closely tracking it to ensure compliance.
